About the Tank
The M48 was developed in the United States, and is a post-WWII first-generation main battle tank, nicknamed “Patton.” The M48A3 is an improved version, with the M48A1 engine replaced with a diesel and equipped with a new fire control device. The M48A5 is the final model of the series that replaces the existing M48A1-A3 main gun with a 53-caliber 105mm tank gun M68, changes the coaxial machine gun to the M60E2, and replaces the power pack with the same one used by the M60.
About the Kit:
This model kit from Takom features main hatches that can be built opened or closed; the suspension and rolling wheels are movable, and the tracks are connected and movable too. Photo-etched parts and decals for four versions are included.
